Hello and welcome!
I see therapy as a space for exploration, even when the path isn’t clear. That process can lead to growth and a deeper understanding of yourself. I’m especially interested in how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are shaped by relationships and life experiences—and how we make sense of who we are. As a relational therapist, I care about how we show up in different roles: as partners, family members, friends, and individuals. In addition to working with couples and individuals, I specialize in supporting children, teens, and adults who are new to therapy. I know starting can feel intimidating, so I will guide you through the process at your own pace and explain things along the way. This way, sessions can be tailored to your needs and goals. Some of my areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, interracial couples, premarital counseling, substance abuse recovery, and self-harm. Identity and understanding how our identity is experienced by ourselves and by others is also very important to me. Other areas I often work with include: My backgroundI hold a BA in psychology and neuroscience from the University of Colorado and an MA in marriage and family therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, where I was awarded their institutional scholarship. I was a school therapist for the John Muir Charter School system, as well as a small business owner for over a decade. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, and supervised by Michele Ritenour, LMFT.
